Outside Sales Representative – Construction & Equipment Sales

Kubota of Council Bluffs is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Outside Sales Representative to expand our presence throughout the Council Bluffs area. This role is ideal for a driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business opportunities, and helping customers find solutions that support their success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and grow a territory by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Generate leads through prospecting, networking, cold calling, referrals, and customer visits.
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, construction companies, equipment users, dealerships, and other business partners.
  • Conduct on-site customer visits, jobsite consultations, and product presentations.
  • Manage the sales process from prospecting to closing while consistently achieving sales goals.
  • Maintain accurate customer information, activities, and opportunities within the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with sales, service, and operations teams to ensure exceptional customer support.
  • Identify opportunities to expand business with existing customers through additional products and services.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of outside sales, B2B sales, construction sales, equipment sales, or related experience.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and close high-value sales.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Experience using CRM software and sales tracking tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling construction equipment, agricultural equipment, heavy equipment, or related products.
  • Existing relationships within the construction, contractor, or equipment industries.
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.
  • Understanding of margins, pricing, and sales forecasting.

Work Environment

  • Combination of office, field, and customer jobsite environments.
  • Frequent travel throughout the Council Bluffs and surrounding market area.
  • Outdoor work and customer visits in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
