When looking at who we have on our LDI team we are so thankful to have hard-working people who care about the agriculture industry and our customers. We interviewed one of our South Hutchinson Equipment Salesmen, Wyatt Travnichek, to hear why he enjoys LDI and what it means to be in sales at our company!
Wyatt Travnichek has been with LDI for a little over a year now. He describes that he grew up in central Kansas on his family farm and ranch interacting with cattle and crops his entire life. After being blessed with twin girls last year, he decided it was time to get off the farm and get into something more flexible for his family, but still allows him to be involved in the agriculture industry working with farmers. LDI was the perfect company to merge into!
Being an equipment salesperson at LDI daily includes meeting new customers who want to upgrade their operations and find new technology to make their farms more money-saving and successful. Wyatt explains that some things he looks forward to when coming to work are getting to meet new people and figuring out ways to assist them, bettering their operation, talking with people, and just being about the agriculture industry in multiple sectors. Wyatt also expresses that the best part of working with LDI is the people. Corporate or other individuals in the sales, service, or parts departments are just a phone call away and if they can’t provide an answer, they will work hard to find someone who does! LDI strives for solid communication and Wyatt expresses that this is one of the most important skills he’s obtained in his time here.
One of Wyatt’s challenges coming into a new job at LDI was completing his first sale. This can be a hard task to accomplish in any sales position. He explains how his teammates helped him get established in a territory new to him and helped get his name to customers. He would recommend working for LDI because there is something for anyone who wants to be involved in agriculture, sales, parts, service, management, corporate, and marketing. “We are all a big family at LDI and we “Do What it Takes!”
LDI is also an exciting place to work because of its advancements in the agriculture industry. Wyatt explains that “LDI is changing the game with their technology in the new Fendt Tractor, these are something newer to Kansas and we’re working at being the lead dealer in this state. For us to be able to push a new tractor to people who aren’t used to that technology, it’s kind of a big deal!”
Lastly, we asked Wyatt how he applies the LDI motto, “Doing What it Takes,” to his job and he explains how it starts with the phone call and whatever they need on the other end, that’s his day; if the customer needs him, he’s there, if another employee needs him, he’s there, if the store needs him, he’s there, and if he can’t figure it out, he’ll find someone who can. Overall, Wyatt has become a successful salesman at LDI, and we are grateful to have him on this team.
