LDI had the opportunity to meet up with Chad Hauck, Crop Production Manager at Golden Valley Inc. in Rozel, Kansas, to learn more about his operation, his thoughts on the Fendt Series Rogators, and his connection with LDI. Throughout the day, the LDI crew interviewed Chad, checked out his Fendt 934, and captured footage of top-dressing a wheat field.
The LDI crew had a great time visiting with Chad Hauck and seeing the Rogator in its prime!

Chad has been with Golden Valley Inc. for 22 years and has been operating Fendt equipment for the past two. One of the biggest challenges he shared is keeping a consistent workforce. Life happens, and people move on—but the work doesn’t stop. Fortunately, his 8400 Seed AirMax dry truck and the Fendt 937 Rogator help keep operations running smoothly.
When asked about his relationship with LDI, Chad shared, “The service is what has stood out. Yes, there have been some hurdles along the way, but overall, LDI has given us consistent service over the years. It just seems like every time we buy a piece of equipment; they step their game up a little more—and it stands out to us.” He went on to say that LDI “does more than what it takes,” highlighting his connection with Derek Hearld, Application Specialist and Store Manager at LDI-Salina, as well as Gabe and Doug from LDI-Hays. “It could’ve been a long night waiting for someone to help me when problems arise, but it’s a ten-minute fix because they care,” he said, reflecting on fine-tuning calibrations in the field this summer.
To wrap up the visit, the LDI team got an up-close look at the Fendt 937 Rogator in action, top-dressing a wheat field. Derek Hearld explained that the goal of top-dressing is to lay a blanket of dry pearlites across a recently planted wheat field in anticipation of rain. Once the rain hits, the fertilizer beads dissolve and spread evenly over the seeds.
