(Hays, KS) – LDI is proud to announce the TechUp ToolUp Scholarship & Tool Allowance Program for qualifying students interested in becoming diesel mechanics. LDI will purchase the standard toolbox and tools, up to $10,000, and depending on the students’ GPA, LDI will pay up to 100% of the student's tuition.
“Trade and technical education are a vital way for many students to find their path towards a successful, lifelong career,” said Jack Farber, store manager and salesman at LDI- Colby. “We are passionate about promoting an environment where these students can succeed and helping to ensure pathways for students in the agriculture industry, especially in western Kansas.”
LDI also has the TechUp ToolUp Scholarship & Sign-On Allowance Program for those currently enrolled or have just graduated from a two-year diesel tech program. Students currently enrolled in a two-year diesel tech program may be eligible for the tuition portion of the program or students can receive up to a $6,000 Sign-On allowance upon completion and graduation of the two-year diesel tech program.

Opportunities are also available for students to work part-time while going to school. They can come and get hands-on experience in LDI shops and work directly with experienced LDI service technicians before they graduate. Part-time employment opportunities are subject to availability and proximity to an LDI location, including Hays, Colby, Chanute, Salina, Ellinwood, Hillsboro, South Hutchinson, Topeka, Garden City, Smith Center, and Council Bluffs, IA.
